I seem to have a couple of servers which I've installed Server 2008 R2. One is a 1950 and the other is a 2950. Both are equipped with the Broadcom 5708C. I've installed the lastest version of BACS-3 from both Dell and Broadcom, but the system BSOD's. The BSOD seems to indicate BASP.SYS is the problem. It seems to mainly happen when I'm accessing the network or utilizing Remote Desktop. Anyone else come across this issue? The 1950 was running fine for the past week or so, but has started this issue this afternoon.
I started setting up the 2950 a couple of days ago and have had this problem out of the gate. All firmware has been updated. I've tried both Server 2008 R2 Standard and Enterprise. I seem to recall having this problem with the 1950's with Server 2008 1st came out, but it worked ok on the 2950s, so I gave up and I just went without teaming. There is a known issue with the BroadCom BCM5708C series on WS2008R2, in particular when using Hyper-V. Whether you do or do not use virtualization, you might try this and see if your problems recurr.
Disable LSO (Large Send Offload). Go to the properties of each NIC (manage network connections, right click, hit 'Properties'). Click 'Configure', then 'Advanced'. Look for LSO, select it, the select 'Disable'. Remember to do this for each NIC in the server.

Let me know if this has any affect. OS server 2008 R2 Dell T-710 server Broadcom network adapters I was able to stop the BSOD with my network adapter. Was getting BSOD with error pointing the the broadcom network driver and tcpip.sys. Despite updating to the most recent driver, I continued to get random BSOD. Searched all over, found one reference on dell support. Recommended disabling LSO and/or turning off chimney offload. Hopefully there will be and updated driver at some point from broadcom/qlogic.
