The 2000 version does have an 'official' English RTP installer. I got 2000 from the Humble Bundle site and one of the downloads was just an installer f0r the 2000 RTP.
Install Steam login. I was wondering on that one as it would retroactively say that a game that was made with RPG Maker 2000 would run on Windows 10.
Also, the problem you are having with the zip occurs because of your computer's locale setting as some thing that is in Japanese is causing a problem as your computer is not set to Japanese language. You can do one of the following: 1.) Run the installer using AppLocale and select Japanese language. If you don't have AppLocale you can download it for free from Microsoft's website at: You also want to use AppLocale if you are clicking on the exe for other Japanese Maker games when you extract them or you'll get an error when you go and play them as things didn't extract correctly because of the locale of your computer. 2.) Change your computer's language settings to Japanese and run the installer and then change your setting back to the previous language you had after it installs. ( CAUTION: Make sure you know how to change your settings back as things will be in Japanese when you do change them.
Well.using Applocale without compatibility mode gives me an error, with compatibility mode it starts up like i didnt use an Applocale and the installation stops at 44% When i use Locale Emulator ( redgardless if i use compatibility mode or not), the first small Window bevor the main window appears actually starts up with the Correct language, but then when the main Window appears, it still have those mangled words and also stops at 44% i also tried to test the locale emulator on other programs to see if its works. For some Reason, im be able to start.Flow version 0.18 with the Locale Emulator and anything works fine. The other Yume Nikki Fangames ( Yume 2kki, Yume Nisshi and LCDDem ) gives me a Error Message with japanese letters. So the problem is not that the Locale Emulator is not working. Maybe it's working for.flow because you installed the English version and could be bundled with the RTP? I'm not too sure, but I know the latest versions of Yume 2kki and Yume Nisshi are only in Japanese, but that doesn't explain LCDDEM (unless you're also playing that one in Japanese). Anyway, this is besides the point, but it's still interesting how one game works but the other ones don't.
Anyway, when I sent you my comment in an earlier thread, for some reason it didn't show you directly my comment. I'll show you the steps I did to make AppLocale compatible with my computer, and hopefully this will help you install the RTP: 1.
I downloaded from the link on the Installation Instructions, used the Recommended Compatibility settings, and installed it. I downloaded from the website, extracted it, and installed Install.reg.* 3. I downloaded the from the Installation Instructions of RPG Maker 2000 and extracted the files that were originally in.exe format. The.exe file in the extracted folder, RPG2000RTP.exe, was modified with the Recommended Compatibility settings to Windows XP (Service Pack 3). (Any other programs that were specified with Recommended Compatibility settings were also set to this setting.) 5. I ran pAppLocale on the RPG2000RTP.exe and extracted the files for RPG Maker 2000 RTP in its default location.
Ess 1968 driver xp download. * If you are using AppLocale, then this step does not apply to you So it seems that you at least used compatibility mode on AppLocale. Try to also use it with the RTP and see how that goes.
I'm sorry nothing's working so far. I had a feeling that AppLocale wouldn't work, but I just wanted to explore all possibilities with that before moving on to other courses of action. However, I will continue to search for any other possible solutions, however obscure it may be. An alternate link for the RTP. This one is in English, so it does not require any support for non-Unicode characters. Hopefully, this will definitely resolve your problem.
Once again, please let me know if this works (hopefully it will!). If the link doesn't work for Yume 2kki, is another link for an earlier version of the RTP in English.
